Definition of Values
Values are "the convictions and beliefs that a person holds, which guide their desires and attitudes, and determine the nature of their behavior towards different things and subjects. Since they are the original component in building the individual's personality, they are also the essential component in building the collective conscience of the nation, as society is a group of individuals.
Reasons for the Values Crisis in Our Contemporary Reality
First Reason
The decline of the role of the home, school, and media surrounding the child; their retreat from their value-based and educational role, either wholly or partially.
Second Reason
The fierce attack on values and sound morals, which is evident to everyone.
Islam has come with an integrated system of values rooted in a sound and strong creed, extending to behaviors with human and universal dimensions, stemming from a balanced vision of the universe, life, and destiny.
